Overview

Ora Mare is a residential construction project comprising four semi-detached coastal homes arranged as two pairs of contemporary dwellings located near the clifftop in Southbourne, Bournemouth.

Farcroft Construction was appointed as the main contractor responsible for delivering the project from initial groundworks through to final completion. The works included the construction of the structural frames, external envelope, internal building services and external works.

The project required detailed coordination between the structural design, architectural elements and building services to deliver modern residential properties with open internal layouts and large glazed elevations. Particular attention was given to construction detailing, material durability and build quality to ensure long-term performance suitable for the coastal environment.

The development was delivered through a structured construction programme, including site preparation, foundations, superstructure works, roofing, internal fit-out and landscaping.
